frequently asked questions
DO YOU DO ANYTHING OTHER THAN BLOG?
Yes. While much of DEAR QUEENS is the blog, I do host my own podcast, sell empowerment merchandise, plan events, participate in philanthropic efforts (both financially and conceptually), and participate in speaking engagements. WHAT’S THE CRAZIEST THING YOU’VE DONE IN THE NAME OF OBEDIENCE?
Quit my job with nothing else lined up. People told me not to and thought I was crazy — shoot, I thought I was crazy — but I did it anyway. Long story short, I ended up with a job 3 days later. At an institution I’d been trying to get into for YEARS. God is good!
ARE YOU WILLING TO FEATURE WOMEN ON YOUR BLOG?
Absolutely! I love featuring God-fearing women making the most of their lives and doing it God’s (and their own) way. The most compelling stories are of women who go against the grain to do things in a way that best suits their own lives. No two journeys are the same - and I love showcasing that on my blog.
If you or a loved one would like to be featured, please e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Your first spoken word event was amazing, are you planning another?
This is the most frequent question I get, and while I would absolutely love to plan another, it must be God led. The first one was so perfect I want to make sure the next one is equally as amazing. Whenever that time comes, you all will be the first to know!
ARE YOU WILLING TO COLLABORATE WITH OTHER EMPOWERMENT ORGANIZATIONS?
I firmly believe that we’re greater in numbers. I am always eager to partner with others to cultivate life-changing programming in the physical & digital space. As long as the mission of our work aligns - and time allows - I’m all in!
